Profile Description

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect for our Assurance & Legal Technology department, who will design and articulate AI-driven solutions that address complex banking challenges. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to craft technical narratives that demonstrate value to our clients. Your expertise in enterprise solution architecture and AI implementation for banking processes will position you as a trusted advisor. You will translate technical capabilities into tangible business outcomes.

Non-Financial Risk Technology provides operational controls, support for sustainable investing, business continuity planning, and surveillance capabilities to enhance the firm's resilience to threats and fraudulent behaviour.

The Assurance & Legal Technology department provides innovative solutions to support Litigation and other Legal services. Our applications deliver strategic technology vision, technical expertise, implementation and support services. These enable stakeholders to conduct and manage their activities in an innovative, efficient, and effective way.

In the Technology division, we leverage innovation to build the connections and capabilities that power our Firm, enabling our clients and colleagues to redefine markets and shape the future of our communities. This is a Lead Software Engineer position at Vice President Level, which is part of the job family responsible for developing and maintains software solutions that support business needs.

What you'll do in the role:

  • Design scalable and secure AI architecture solutions for specific banking use cases. Leverage modern technologies to address business needs.
  • Translate banking business requirements into technical solutions. Ensure these solutions deliver clear ROI and competitive advantages.
  • Create and present reference architectures, solution designs, and technical roadmaps to senior stakeholders.
  • Conduct technical discovery sessions to understand client challenges and map them to business capabilities.
  • Develop compelling proof-of-concepts and demos that highlight the power of AI capabilities.
  • Collaborate with product teams to influence the AI roadmap based on customer feedback and market trends.
  • Guide customers through the evaluation process. Address technical concerns and clearly explain implementation approaches.
  • Stay current with emerging AI technologies and banking industry trends. Establish yourself as a thought leader in banking AI solutions.


What you'll bring to the role:
  • 9+ years of experience architecting enterprise-scale data and AI solutions, including a minimum of 3 years in banking or financial services applications.
  • Deep understanding of architecture design patterns, service-oriented frameworks, distributed messaging integration, and AI implementation strategies.
  • Experience designing and implementing solutions using large language models (e.g., OpenAI, Claude, Copilot, Agentic AI) and machine learning in banking contexts.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) with emphasis on their AI and data services.
  • Hands-on experience with key programming languages, including Java, Python, AngularJS, React, Shell Scripts, and SQL.
  • Expertise data security, privacy, and compliance requirements specific to the banking industry.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and business audiences.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Data Science, or related field; relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Experience with banking systems integration and banking data models
  • Knowledge of banking-specific AI use cases such as fraud detection, personalization, risk assessment, and customer service automation
  • Experience with hybrid cloud / on-premises solutions common in banking environments
  • Prior experience in pre-sales, solution architecture, or technical consulting roles.
  • Atleast 6 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
