Senior Data Infrastructure Engineering Specialist (Hybrid)

We're seeking someone to join our Credit Risk - Data Infrastructure team as a Senior Data Infrastructure Engineering Specialist in Risk Tech to design and operate data assets and workflows primarily in Python, SQL, and Snowflake, and help deliver reporting/visibility via Power BI. Exposure to AI/AI agents is a plus, especially where it can improve automation and operational efficiency. The squad's mission is to provide a stable, governed, and repeatable UAT data environment for application development teams-so they can test confidently and deliver releases smoothly.

This is a Software Engineering position at Director level, which is part of the job family responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions that support business needs.

What you'll do in the role:

  • Own and improve the reliability and stability of UAT data environments used by multiple application teams.
  • Build, maintain, and enhance data workflows/automation using Python (scripting, APIs, data processing).
  • Write and optimize complex SQL (CTEs, window functions, multi-join patterns, query tuning).
  • Develop and manage data structures in Snowflake (tables/views, performance considerations, cost-aware usage patterns).
  • Create and maintain Power BI dashboards/reports for UAT readiness, reconciliation, and operational metrics.
  • Implement data quality checks, validation rules, reconciliation routines, and monitoring to prevent regressions.
  • Troubleshoot data issues in UAT, perform root-cause analysis, and drive permanent fixes.
  • Collaborate with app/dev teams, QA, and release stakeholders to understand test data needs and timelines.
  • Document solutions and support processes (runbooks, standards, repeatable procedures).


What you'll bring to the role:

  • 5-7 years of experience in data engineering, data infrastructure, or analytics engineering roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Python for automation and data processing.
  • Advanced SQL skills, including complex query design and performance optimization.
  • Practical experience working with Snowflake in a production-like environment.
  • Experience with Power BI (dashboards, models, DAX basics/advanced - as applicable).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and comfort working in an environment with multiple stakeholders and priorities.
  • Strong ownership mindset and ability to operate/support critical UAT enablement services.
  • Clear communicator who can translate requirements across engineering and business/QA stakeholders.
  • Bias for automation, standardization, and continuous improvement.
