Firm Risk Management
Firm Risk Management (FRM) supports Morgan Stanley to achieve its business goals by partnering with business units across the Firm to realise efficient risk-adjusted returns, acting as a strategic advisor to the Board and protecting the Firm from exposure to losses as a result of credit, market, liquidity, operational, model and other risks.

Background on the Position
The role will reside within the EMEA Firm Risk Management's Risk Governance team. The role is responsible for supporting the Risk Division's engagement with the UK and European regulators, primarily covering Market Risk-related engagement. This includes providing independent review and challenge of all regulatory submissions and providing advice and support to large-scale regulatory remediation projects with respect to regulatory expectations.

Primary Responsibilities
- Support Firm Risk Management's engagement with the PRA and the ECB, including, but not limited to, preparation of on-site visits / workshops and information requests; compiling, reviewing & challenging submission materials. The role will primarily cover Market Risk-related topics including IMA and FRTB.
- Lead regulatory self-assessments which are either required for regulatory model applications, assessment against new regulations or which support the Risk Division in ensuring ongoing regulatory compliance.
- Support large-scale regulatory remediation projects, providing advice on regulatory expectations and reviewing and challenging documentation supporting the closure of project milestones / regulatory findings.
- Lead in reviewing Risk policies and procedures to ensure regulatory requirements are appropriately reflected.

Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent

- 3-5 years of experience

- Experience in working on regulatory issues or regulatory implementation projects (e.g. regulatory applications for internal model applications)
- Experience in Risk Management at leading financial institutions (preferred)
-Knowledge of risk related elements of the PRA and/or ECB regulatory rulebooks (in particular IMA and FRTB). The ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of stakeholders, both written and verbally
- Confidence to take ideas forward and to challenge others, where appropriate, with experience in management by influence, facilitating and gaining consensus
-An interest in working in a fast-paced environment, often balancing multiple high priority deliverables

- Strong attention to detail and ability to distil technical information to produce concise and effective presentations
-The ability to work independently in a self-directed way in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
