Quantitative Risk Analyst

In the Fixed Income division (FID), we work in fast-paced and constantly changing global markets to assess and manage risk, trade securities, manage relationships with clients, and structure and execute innovative transactions.
Within FID, the Commodities Trading Risk Management Team (TRM) is seeking a strategic and highly motivated Quantitative Risk Analyst to join our First Line of Defense function overseeing the division's market risk.
You Will:
- Design and build risk analytics tools to monitor and assess market risk across Commodities trading desks.
- Develop and maintain quantitative models to evaluate risk/reward profiles of complex financial instruments.
- Apply advanced data analytics to identify emerging risk trends and support real-time decision-making.
- Monitor FID P&L and risk positions, escalating to senior management as appropriate.
- Collaborate with Firm Risk Management (FRM) and Market Risk Management (MRD) to define, allocate, and enforce market risk limits.
- Conduct deep-dive analysis into trading activity, risk exposures, and P&L drivers using statistical and computational techniques.
- Partner closely with trading desks to understand strategies and ensure risk transparency.
- Contribute to the development of scalable infrastructure for risk reporting and visualization.
You Have:
- A degree in Mathematics, Mathematical Finance, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
- Strong programming skills (e.g., Python, R, SQL) and experience with data visualization tools.
- A deep understanding of financial markets, products, and risk metrics.
- Experience with building or enhancing risk systems and analytical frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills to translate complex quantitative insights into actionable business decisions.
- A proactive, collaborative mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
