Team Profile:

Institutional Securities Technology (IST) develops and oversees the overall technology strategy and bespoke technology solutions to drive and enable the institutional businesses and enterprise-wide functions. Our clients include Fixed Income, Equities, Commodities, Investment Banking, Research and Global Capital Markets.

Position Description:

We are looking for a Production Support analyst to join the Reference Data team -

Responsibilities:
  • On a typical day, a Production Support Analyst will primarily be responsible for monitoring system alerts, incident management, problem management and user escalations/tickets via ServiceNow.
  • You will use your expertise to tune and push our systems beyond their normal limit.
  • You will troubleshoot issues across the entire stack: software, application and network.
  • You will identify and drive opportunities to improve automation for the company; scope and create automation for deployment, management and visibility of our services.
  • Participate in SRE improvements towards the stability of the plant.
  • Represent the Reliability & Production Support (RPE) organization in application design reviews and operational readiness exercises for new and existing services.
  • Operate on a follow-the-sun support model, with global production support coverage in Asia, EMEA and North America. You will participate in weekend and off hours on-call rotation, and be point of escalation during critical incidents


Qualifications:

Skills Required:
  • Bachelor in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technology field
  • Strong Hands on knowledge in SQL server, Sybase and DB2 or MongoDB
  • Knowledge of UNIX/LINUX operating system level concepts such as processes, memory allocation, and the network stack and commands.
  • Strong Hands-on in SQL, Shell Scripting, Python, Perl, JavaScript
  • Knowledge in scheduling tools such as AutoSys, Crontab, Control-M
  • Must thrive in a high-pressure environment and enjoy working on new challenges.
  • Knowledge of ITIL Principles and SDLC flow along with Agile development practices
  • Knowledge of Finance to communicate effectively with business clients as well as internal/external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of cloud and related technology
  • Similar work experience of 5~8 years of experience.


Skills Desired:
  • Knowledge and experience in the banking industry
  • Knowledge in equities and fixed income products would be advantageous
  • Experience with source code and binary repositories, build tools, and CI/CD (Git, Artifactory, Jenkins, Docker) etc. and data streaming technologies like Spark, Kafka etc.
  • Hands on experience on enterprise tools set such as Grafana, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, and BMC etc.
  • Experience in software development: automation-related experience valued in particular. Scripting languages such as bash, python, ruby, or compiled languages such as C, C#, JAVA, Scala and Go are most relevant, but others are acceptable.
  • Awareness of, and ability to reason about modern software & systems architectures, including load-balancing, queueing, caching, distributed systems failure modes generally, micro services, and so on.
  • Practical experience running large-scale online systems is always an advantage. Certification would be a plus
  • Experience in Cloud / Distributed computing technology or certification is a plus
