Product Development, Senior Associate, Investment Management

Responsible for the development of Japanese and International fund legal vehicles and their sub-funds, including: Coordinate or support the Product team on new product development, fund launches, modifications, or terminations on Japanese onshore or offshore funds. Collaborate with MSIM colleagues in both Japanese and English to gather information and seek internal product approvals. The role provides good opportunities to collaborate with International Product team effectively to act as the go-to resource for product related queries and manage internal relationships across divisions. Develop Japanese strategic initiatives by collaborate with Japan Sales teams and colleagues looking at market trends and competitor analysis. Collaborate jointly with domestic investment management firms to design their funds. Work closely with Legal and Compliance colleagues to create and update Japanese onshore funds documents and other product relating materials. Language : Japanese (native) and English (business). The candidate should have a understanding of the product development of Japanese domiciled fund. A knowledge of Cayman funds and European funds including alternative structures would be an added advantage. Experience development of complex fund, and coordinating with multiple internal and external stakeholders would be an added advantage. Knowledge of AM operation, wealth management (i.e. product gate keeper experience), legal or compliance would be an added advantage.
