Private Banking Group Market Executive Director

Morgan Stanley Private Bank, NA is seeking a high potential sales executive to own regional initiatives. The PBG Market Executive will be responsible for driving local sales strategies as well as owning talent development for the PBG Sales Team members in their Region.
Job Description/Position Responsibilities
- Identify, create and implement sales and marketing strategies, tactics and initiatives within their designated markets, to increase product awareness, engagement and penetration to achieve stated goals and objectives.
- Lead/partner with Region Manager (RM) and Market Managers (MM) to proactively drive key sales and marketing priorities to achieve defined business objectives and targets.
- Identify and execute immediate action plans for underperforming markets; overseeing weekly progress towards plan
- Develop strong partnerships with WM field management (Market Executives, Market Managers, BDMs, etc) to co-own and deliver private banking strategies.
- Partner with RM to lead ongoing MM/Banker talent/performance assessments and centralize/oversee regional recruiting process to identify, source and establish contact with potential candidates.
- Partner with COO Learning & Development Team to prioritize & deploy training programs for each job family
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory and compliance procedures.
- Member of MSPBNA Sales Management team. Participate in business planning and strategy for Sales.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of successful business development experience in lending, deposit and cash management products with an investment, commercial or private bank
- Minimum of 5 years managing a business development team within an investment, commercial or private bank is preferred
- Proven new business development / origination experience with Lending products
- Experience in understanding the financial needs of all types of clients
- Completion of formal credit training strongly preferred
- Bachelor's Degree

- Demonstrate positive initiative, leadership and comfort working in a fast-paced environment
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Exceptional presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal collaboration and team skills including working with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical skills, performance and metrics tracking.
- Maintain poise, presence and professionalism with FAs and their affluent clients in the most difficult circumstances.
- Detail orientation with strong organizational and analytical skills
- Strong relationship building ability with PBs, MSSB Division Directors, FAs, Branch Managers, Clients, Product Specialists and matrix partners
- Ability to efficiently, tactfully & professionally screen, manage and/or decline transactions while maintaining FA and client relationships.

Salary range for the position: $150,000 - $250,000 Yr. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit's incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
