Junior Finance Business Partner
We're seeking someone to join our team as a Finance Business Partner to work in our Finance Division. The Finance Business Partner will play a pivotal role in supporting technology-driven initiatives, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver financial insights that enable effective decision-making. By leveraging strong analytical skills and a proactive approach, you will help ensure that financial objectives are aligned with broader organisational strategy, contributing to the continued success and growth of Morgan Stanley's technology functions.

What you'll do in the role:
• Financial Analysis & Partnership: Partner with Senior Business managers, IT leadership, and Sourcing to collaborate on annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, and strategic investments.
• Strategic Insights: Develop and present findings to senior management regarding budget, workforce, and program deliverables to support cost efficiency.
• Financial Reporting: Support transparency through detailed reporting of actuals versus budget and prepare commentary for monthly/quarterly expense review packs.
• Technical Reporting: Create capital and vendor spend reports using Power BI and report project costs to stakeholders in a clear, concise manner.
• Project & Innovation: Support new system enhancements, seek process improvements, and actively participate in the Firm's AI adoption initiatives.
• Oversight: Provide management and oversight at the regional, location, and department levels within the Technology Finance & BM team.
What you'll bring to the role:
• Experience: Understanding of general finance and accounting principles; experience in expense management and budgeting is expected.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with Power BI for financial reporting is a plus.
• Communication Skills: Essential interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills to work effectively across functional teams.
• Leadership & Independence: Ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment and collaborate toward common goals with a delivery-focused mindset.
• Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to provide strategic insights in a fast-paced environment.
