Governance Control Associate
We're seeking someone to join our Model and EUC Governance team as a skilled Governance Control Associate within Finance Division, under Centralized Management. This is a unique opportunity to work across all risk stripes (credit, market, operational, liquidity and model risk) globally, provides close interaction with both model/EUC developers and reviewers as well as interaction across business and functional areas (departments) across the firm. You will track and report progress on remediation of model and EUC specific issues identified by regulators, internal audit and through independent model review, as well as oversee the inventories, policies, procedures and governance processes relevant to Model and EUC risk across the Finance division. In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, review, analysis and advisory services of the Firm's financial and capital resources. What you'll do in the role:
- Maintain inventory of all models, Tools, and EUCs developed and used within Finance through stakeholder management.
- Monitor documentation status to ensure completion and manage broader model certification and exception process.
- Support the execution of the model control and EUC frameworks for all Finance models and EUCs including appropriate governance, documentation standards and policies and procedures.
- Provide input and insight to Reporting team preparing presentation materials for model committees and applicable regulatory exams and requests, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Ensure effective communication and reporting to functional teams, manager, stakeholders, and senior leadership
- Proactively identify emerging risks in individual and department work and contribute to strategies for mitigating them
- Act as a role model and culture carrier; Embody and set an example of the Firm's values and hold yourself and others accountable to Firm standards
What you'll bring to the role:
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with complex datasets
- Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written English; ability to develop quick rapport at all levels with both technical and business stakeholders
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, with great attention to detail
- Flexibility to adapt to changing environments quickly and effectively
- Ability to interact cross regions and work effectively on multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- In-depth knowledge of Finance functional area, product and/or client segment and technical skills, as well as of industry and competitive environment
- Ability to operate independently with respect to most job responsibilities
- Ability to provide positive and constructive feedback and innovate processes
- At least 4 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
