Profile Description

We're seeking someone to join our Enterprise Technology team as a GCP Infrastructure professional, in Enterprise Computing (EC) to work in Design and implement Google Cloud Architecture at enterprise scale and develop Terraform modules for Google Cloud using Terraform Enterprise.

Enterprise Computing is a department of Core Infrastructure that provides a collection of products and services that make up the Morgan Stanley core compute infrastructure, hosting platforms and supporting application services. Solutions are delivered across the infrastructure stack from foundational hardware platforms, storage, server operating systems and virtualization up through the hosting of common web, database, middleware and reporting services.

This is a Infrastructure Production Management & Reliability Engineering Lead position at Vice President Level, which is part of the job family responsible for maintaining the stability and reliability of the organization's infrastructure systems, ensuring optimal performance and availability to support business operations.

What you'll do in the role:

  • Design and implement Google Cloud Architecture at enterprise scale \ Develop Terraform modules for Google Cloud using Terraform Enterprise Integrate Google Cloud core services with Morgan Stanley on-premise systems.
  • Test infrastructure as code using common testing tools and frameworks (e.g. Terraform Test).
  • Write technical documentation. Troubleshooting and debugging.
  • Collaborate across diverse groups including Security, Application Development teams, Operations etc.


What you'll bring to the role:
  • 10+ years experience working in an engineering, architect or developer role.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience working with Google Cloud (Developer or Engineering role).
  • Python, Terraform experience with infrastructure as code and configuration tools.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and code testing.
  • Ability to work across multi-discipline teams on architecture, features, and problem solving.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively and write detailed technical documentation.
  • At least 6 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role

  • Experience with agile framework and devops
  • Knowledge, awareness and contributor to open source projects
