Global Operations Position Control_Director_Product Support & Services ISG
We are seeking an experienced and detailed-oriented Global Operations Position Control - Director. Global Operations Position Control (GOPC - Mumbai) is a part of the ISG Equity Operations team in Mumbai and provides support to various Business Units, Financial Control Group (FCG) & Derivative Client Processing (DCP) Groups within the firm
The successful candidate will be liaising with the regional Equity & FID Derivative Middle Office Teams & Management, the Finance Control Group, IT and other operational support areas to ensure that controls are maintained and breaks are understood and resolved in a timely manner.
In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships. This is an Advanced Specialist position at Director level within the Product Support & Services IM, which is responsible for providing transaction support and managing post execution processes.

What you'll do in the role:
- Provide daily oversight and support for team members in order to help them achieve their daily goals and requirements.
- Liaising with other Morgan Stanley teams (in Operations, Technology, Finance as appropriate) to resolve exceptions at root.
- Provide inputs to management information on a regular (e.g. weekly risk reports) and ad hoc basis as required.
- Resolve any daily resourcing issues that may arise.
- Build and maintain a strong control & risk management environment. Ensure all risks, issues and control gaps are escalated appropriately as per daily procedures ensuring accountability is maintained until resolution.
- Ensure best practice is implemented as part of the Team's daily processing requirement.
- Help implement the department strategy working alongside the local and global teams and Senior Management.
- Manage primary relationships in other regions and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Conduct regular 1 to 1's with staff to address the areas of career development, training, performance and business processing. Qualifications
What you'll bring to the role:
- Exposure and understanding of Equity and Fixed Income Derivative Products
- Exposure and understanding of Corporate Actions
- Exercises sound judgment and analysis
- Comprehends and reasons - Displays well developed ability to comprehend, reason and process complex data.
- Demonstrates excellent attention to detail when analysing or interpreting data.
- Breaks down problems/issues into smaller, more manageable parts.
- Asks appropriate questions to source and validate data in order to support comprehensive analysis; consults subject matter experts where needed.
- Skilfully identifies problems, builds solutions, and applies lessons learned to parallel situations.
- Anticipates problems / obstacles and understands the ramifications to business. Offers workable solutions.

- Escalates clearly and appropriately
- Capable of, or experienced in, meeting daily deadlines
- Capable of, or experienced in, prioritizing multiple tasks when required
- Capable of open, accurate and concise communication at all times, whether through email or phone
- Confident of communicating across many different areas and across levels
- Experienced with MS Office (MS Excel/Access/Outlook etc.)
- Track record of learning or adapting to new technology systems and applications
- Works effectively and builds relationships with colleagues
- Willing to perform additional tasks, when required, to help team meet its control goals
