Position: GMS - Marketing Data Associate

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical professional to join the Global Marketing Operations - Marketing Data & Automation function. This role is critical in ensuring that marketing has access to accurate, consistent, and well-governed investment product, performance, and marketing data.

A key focus will be leading business analysis for the migration of data from legacy sources into Golden Sources, partnering with data owners, technology, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure that the data foundation meets the needs of Marketing teams across collateral, reporting, digital platforms, and analytics.

This position requires an understanding of investment products, data flows, and strong collaboration skills to align data capabilities with Marketing objectives.

Key responsibilities:

1.Lead Data Integration Across Legacy and Golden Sources

  • Drive business analysis for migrating product, performance, and marketing datasets from legacy systems to golden data sources.
  • Partner with data, technology and platform teams to define ingestion logic, transformation rules, and data quality expectations.
  • Ensure data source structures accommodate current and future Marketing use cases, including collateral, website, and reporting needs.
  • Act as the Marketing representative in data integration discussions, ensuring requirements are understood and implemented correctly.

2. Engage Data Owners & SMEs Across the Organization
  • Lead structured discussions with data owners, Product teams, Performance Reporting, Distribution, and Compliance to define and validate data definitions, lineage, and approved usage.
  • Build strong partnerships with data governance groups to ensure Marketing requirements are embedded in enterprise data standards.


3. Translate Marketing Needs into Technical Requirements
  • Convert marketing requirements-e.g., product facts, performance, benchmarks, disclosures, eligibility rules-into detailed functional specifications for Technology teams.
  • Document data flows and mapping logic from legacy systems to Golden Sources with clarity and accuracy.
  • Author user stories and acceptance criteria to support technology sprints and delivery cycles.

Ensure End-to-End Data Quality & Governance
  • Establish and maintain business validation rules for product data elements used in marketing.
  • Collaborate with Data Quality teams to monitor completeness, accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of data across systems.
  • Maintain issue logs, drive root-cause analysis, and oversee remediation to ensure clean data flows into marketing tools and assets.
  • Support enforcement of enterprise data governance policies for product and performance data.
  • Establish data governance standards for product metadata, ensuring consistency across legacy systems, marketing platforms, and golden sources.

Position Requirements:
  • 5-6+ years of experience in marketing analytics, marketing technology, or data/business analysis within investment management, asset management, or financial services.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Python and BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
  • Hands-on experience integrating and analyzing data from legacy data platforms to golden data sources.
  • Strong understanding of investment products DATA across Equities, Fixed Income, Multi-Asset, Alternatives, and Private Markets.
  • Proven ability to gather business requirements, write user stories, and collaborate with technology teams to implement solutions.
  • Strong project-management skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex data for non-technical stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, globally distributed, highly collaborative environment.
