Global Loans Operations Business Management -Analyst

We're seeking someone to join our team as a Analyst to work as part of the Global Loans Services (GLS) Team.

The Team is is the global support organization for all institutional lending businesses at Morgan Stanley. Businesses supported include Primary and Secured Lending Origination, Secondary Trading and Loan Administration.

This role is located in Frankfurt and the successful candidate will be responsible to manage production support, supervisory checks, management reporting, project support, regulatory reporting, interface and contact point for internal and external queries.

In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships, driving strategic automation solutions by embracing a transformation mindset and challenging the status quo.

This is an Analyst position within Operations Business Management, which is responsible for performing business management functions. We do this by managing headcount, financials, people processes, executive communications, and strategic support.

In addition the role covers the opening and closure of custody and clearing bank accounts held at external agent banks and owns the creation and ongoing review of Regulatory documentation associated with bank account openings. In addition, the management of third-party service providers including Service Level Agreements, Risk assessments and according monitoring is part of the role. This scope provides a dynamic, ever-changing backdrop for an exciting role involving collaboration across multiple Business Units and Ops teams.

What you'll do in the role:

  • Opening and closure of custody and clearing bank accounts held at external agent banks
  • Creation and ongoing review of Regulatory documentation associated with bank account openings
  • Management of third-party service providers including Service Level Agreements, Risk assessments and according monitoring


What you'll bring to the role:
  • Financial Services Operations experience is essential
  • Educated to a degree or equivalent academic level
  • Language skills: fluent in written & spoken English is required
  • Language skills: fluent in written & spoken German is preferred
  • Experience in supervision of a global Bank / Broker Dealer
  • Knowledge of regulations for Banks and Broker Dealer in Germany and operational functions and processes of a broker dealer
  • Experience of working in one or more of the following Operational processes is preferred - Global Loans Services, Cash Management, Cash Settlements, Securities Settlements, Network Management
  • Cross product knowledge
