MSIM's High Yield investment team manages $32B in assets across a dedicated group of 35 investment professionals in New York, Boston, and London. The team is dedicated to high yield bond investing and has built a strong long-term track record of risk-adjusted performance through a concentrated, bottom-up approach to credit selection. The London-based team focuses on European currency High Yield and manages a growing pool of over $4B in assets, leveraging MSIM's global resources. The team operates through a highly collaborative investment process, with traders, portfolio managers, and credit analysts working closely together to deliver strong outcomes for clients.

The Senior Trader will be passionate about credit markets and directly responsible for transacting in markets, developing and maintaining sell side relationships, and generating innovative trade ideas.
Responsibilities:
- Execute voice and electronic trades providing best execution with a focus on Euro and Sterling high yield credit markets.
- Represent MSIM interfacing with the leveraged finance community to generate market color and trade ideas.
- Build relationships with sell-side participants to augment our profile with the dealer trading and syndicate desks, benefiting primary and secondary market activity.
- Be a value-added member of the high yield credit team to generate investment performance, in deep partnership with portfolio managers and analysts across regions, offices and asset classes.
- Pursue Market Structure development efforts that benefit our trading implementation
- Enhance and work within the confines of best execution policies.
- Work within investment process to drive relative value analysis across client portfolios.
- Be a partner with compliance, valuation and operations teams.
- Provide additional support with the other fixed income trading desks as needed.
What you'll bring to the role:
- Experience in high yield corporate credit trading, additional experience in investment grade convertible bond and loan markets is a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail, high ethical standards and strictly adhering to firm's policies
- Ability to handle pressure and work at a high level and multi-task
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic and be a contributing member of the global investment team
- Strong quantitative, analytical and organizational skills and exhibit those skills within the team
- Negotiation skills to achieve best interests of clients with broker/dealers
- Strong technology skills, with working knowledge of Aladdin, MarketAxxess, TradeWeb, and Bloomberg.
- Bachelor's degree
