Morgan Stanley's Equities Derivatives division is looking for a desk strategist for its Equity Derivative Strategist team. Desk strategists are key participants, together with traders and sales people, in the revenue-generating activities of our Sales & Trading Division. Desk strategists sit on the trading desk, are the primary modellers for new products, and team with the traders to deliver innovative ideas using models to analyse risks and opportunities in trading books.

Pr i m a ry R e s p o n si b i l iti e s

Contribute to and facilitate various parts of the structured products business in Asia:

  • Product representation to enable fast product onboarding from pricing to document generation.
  • Pricing functionality and modeling of trading charges.
  • Product lifecycle with aims to scale our structured products offering and better service our clients.
  • Analysis of large quote datasets to improve quote quality and competitiveness.

Building close relationships with front and middle office to help action the above.

S k ills re q uir e d

  • Advanced degree in a quantitative subject such as Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering.
  • Strong programming skills (Java, C++, Python, KDB) with tangible working experience.
  • Strong equity exotic derivatives modelling and structured products knowledge.
  • Drive and desire to work in an intense team-oriented environment.
  • Familiarity/effective use of Ai/agentic workflow is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal English.
