DevOps Engineer - Associate- Software Engineering

We're seeking someone to join our FRPPE Tech team as a DevOps Engineer , in Operations Technology

This is Associate position that develops and maintains software solutions that support business needs.

What you'll do in the role:
We are looking for a proactive and hands-on Junior DevOps Engineer to join our growing engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in CI/CD pipelines, GIT, Jenkins and automation tools. You should be passionate about problem solving, streamlining development workflows and automating operational tasks to help scale our infrastructure and improve development reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Github actions or similar
- Manage and maintain GIT repositories and enforce branching and code management standards
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployment and monitoring workflows
- Work closely with developers to integrate DevOps best practices into the development lifecycle
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development and test environments
- Develop scripts and tools to automate manual tasks and improve operation efficiency
- Monitor system performance and availability using tools like Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana
What you'll bring to the role:
- 2-4 years of hands on experience in a DevOps or similar role
- Good scripting knowledge in Shell or Python
- Familiarity with containerization concepts
- Experience with monitoring/logging tools like Splunk, Grafana
- Solid understanding of linux based systems
- Problem solving mindset and proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- At least 4+ years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
Good to have skillset
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or Ansible
- Ability to understand and write code written in Java
- Existing knowledge of Morgan Stanley systems
