Delta one trading is one of the biggest risk-taking desks in equities trading. Traders on this desk act as a market-makers (non HFT) and offer various liquidity offerings to clients on a discretionary and systematic basis. The role is within systematic trading arm of delta one where key aspects of the role combines broad market understanding, knowledge of market impact models, risk models and portfolio construction. We are looking for proactive, self-starting individual to be part of our India team working with EMEA Cash Trading Strats team. Managing and maintaining a large and complicated technical environment. Web development to allow for simple display of metrics & analytics. Building Tools/Apps to analyze and spot anomalies in a complex & multidimensional marketplace. Back-testing of various ideas and methodologies to manage long/short equity and futures portfolios. Alpha Research. Regular communication with team members in London and Paris. We are looking to hire both first class technicians/technologists and those with a deep knowledge of financial markets and Alpha research. You will have either or preferably both skillsets: Degree with a quantitative/technical discipline (BE, BTech in Computer Science, MS in Maths/Statistics/ FE) from Tier 1 & 2 institutes. 2-3 years of relevant working experience in a Tier1 investment bank or buy side firm. Strong Python knowledge is a must. Must be able to flexibly respond to changes in priorities, be able to communicate results to a less-technical audience, work well in a team and be comfortable in a front office environment. Strong attention to detail. Drive and desire to work in an intense team-oriented environment. KDB database knowledge. Angular or other web development skills. Creation of services, technical platform integration, expansion, & maintenance.
