Cyclical Testing and Transaction Reporting_ Associate_Core Services
We're seeking someone to join our team as a Cyclical Testing Associate in Transaction Reporting to support the onboarding and evolution of front-to-back cyclical testing into Independent Testing, contributing to the newest expansion into CAT Transaction Reporting.
In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships.
This is an Associate level position within the Firmwide Operations Division.

What you'll do in the role:
- Execute complex processes and assist a Team Manager in coordinating processes, risks and/or projects in a Team Lead
capacity
- Recognize risk in day-to-day processes to draw out the key issues and leverage detailed knowledge to propose changes in
process
- Train others, allocate tasks and support with first line escalation where required
- Share expert knowledge across the team, contribute to team output and development, building relationships across the
Firm
Primary Responsibilities:
MS is currently establishing the team to support the expansion of Proactive Sample testing for the firm's transaction reporting obligations under CAT:
- Independently test our CAT Transaction reporting implementation by testing trades front to back to ensure they are reporting in alignment with the current CAT rules.
- The testing will also determine if the firms control framework is capturing the issue.
- Diagnostic testing will also be included in order to capture obvious errors and help size any problems that are found.
- Diagnostic tests are to be written in SQL and/or Python. These will require continuous improvement to automate and detect issues.
- Proactively assists the Business, Operations, Compliance, and IT teams in understanding the impact of new regulatory changes.
- Demonstrates a detailed knowledge of the front to back system infrastructure and understands data flows, booking models, and logic required to capture data.
- Liaises with relevant stakeholders in Operations, Technology, the Business, and Compliance to identify the root cause of issues and to address potential areas of risk.
- Investigates if any of the new products the firm is launching complies with the applicable reporting regulations.
- Ensures Compliance Courses and Policies are completed on a timely basis.
