We're seeking someone to join the Treasury Capital Markets team as a Vice President in Treasury to support the Firm's unsecured funding management.

In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, analysis and advisory services of the Firm's financial and capital resources. This is a Vice President position within our Corporate Treasury Market-facing/Managing Risk Job Family which is responsible for the management, execution, setting the liquidity investment policy and risk management of the Firm's unsecured funding issuance, investment of the Firm's liquidity resources and managing risk for the MSBNA/MSPBNAs Chief Investment Office (CIO)

- Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues in Finance and across the Firm
- Responsible for and lead a significant set of deliverables, leveraging advanced understanding of Finance functional area, product and/or client segment
- Proactively identify emerging risks in individual and department work and contribute to strategies for mitigating them
- Act as a role model and culture carrier; Embody and set an example of the Firm's values and hold yourself and others accountable to Firm standards
- Assist in executing the Firm's funding strategy to support funding, liquidity and balance sheet objectives

- Responsible for and lead a significant set of deliverables, leveraging advanced understanding of Finance functional area, product and/or client segment
- Support the design and day-to-day implementation of a diverse and stable debt offering, related hedging strategies and funding pricing for the Firm
- Analyse new products and market opportunities to add diversification to the firm's unsecured funding stack by collaborating with Business Units, Controllers, Risk, Legal, Tech and others
- Manage funding planning across the Firm's unsecured funding channels
- Manage and execute ad hoc requests/inquiries from senior management and aid in decision making process
- Partner closely with the Global TCM teams and business units on deposit and other funding initiatives
- Work with the tech development team and stakeholders to deliver software solutions used to manage unsecured funding
- Maintain the team's risks and controls and associated documentation (e.g., policies & procedures)
- Create and deliver effective presentations for senior management forums and to regulators
- Manage, attract, develop and retain talent for team within Finance while creating an inclusive environment; translate Firmwide goals into actionable goals for department/function

What you'll bring:
- Advanced understanding of Finance functional area, product and/or client segment and technical skills, as well as of industry and competitive environment; familiarity with structured notes a plus
- Ability to provide positive and constructive feedback and acknowledge efforts of team members
- Ability to articulate risk and impact to various audiences, and create plans to mitigate those risks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders across business units and across regions
- Well-developed analytical capabilities, including ability to summarize complex business problems and detailed analysis with clarity and brevity
- Demonstrated ownership of projects end-to-end, with the ability to see the full picture, identify risks and coordinate across multiple teams and regions to develop solutions
- Comfort operating in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with multiple competing priorities, while maintaining professionalism and delivering results under tight deadlines
- Proven experience in managing and developing junior team members, including mentoring, coaching and overseeing team's outputs and ensuring results meet both internal and external standards
- Pro-active mindset with strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail
- At least 9 years of relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $120,000 and $190,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
