Commodities Structuring Associate
We are looking for a Commodities Structuring Associate to join our team in our Budapest office. This involves managing existing trades and assisting in the implementation of new deals across structured finance and hedging transactions . Upon joining successful candidates will be provided comprehensive training on the Commodities market.
Structurers are responsible for modelling transactions and analysing and monitoring associated risks (market, credit, capital, operational). We work across all the commodities that Morgan Stanley trades - power, gas, oil, base metals, precious metals and agricultural and environmental products.
We are looking for candidates who are interested in a long-term career in Commodities. Successful candidates will have opportunities for career progression and growth in the Institutional Securities Group.

You will:
- Model and proactively monitor risks associated with existing trades and assist in the implementation of new structured finance transactions, as well as derivatives
- Providein-depth analysis of client credit and asset operational risks for the existing portfolio and work with various functions to ensure timely communication of key transaction activities, and counterparty compliance with key reporting obligations
- Support the sales team in the credit analysis associated with the onboarding of new clients and provide support in the management of our portfolio of secured hedge counterparties
- Collaborate on various projects with different functions in London.
You have:
- BSc or MSc quantitative/finance degree (e.g. finance, economics, financial mathematics, and engineering);;
- 2-3 years of relevant work experience;
- Strong analytical and numerical skills and experience with financial data;
- Computer Skills: confident user of Excel, some coding experience is a plus (e.g. VBA, Python);
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English;
- Excellent problem-solving and strong interpersonal skills.
