The Fixed Income Division is comprised of Interest Rate, Currency, Credit and Commodities Products and Distribution. Professionals in the Division assess and actively manages risk, trade securities, and structure as well as execute innovative transactions in the fast-paced and constantly changing global markets. The Commodities Division is a market leader across a broad range of commodities markets, with expertise in areas including client risk management, financing solutions and investor products Sales & Trading

Role Overview:

The commodities business is looking for a quantitative strategist located in Mumbai, to support the cross Commodities Desk (like Oil, Power, and Gas, etc.).

The candidate will be part of the commodities strategist team and will work on supporting the daily running and support of the Trading and Sales Desk. This is a broad role and will involve tasks related to: development of frameworks for various reporting and analytical tools, assisting the internal/external stakeholders with automation and optimization requests, business analysis/translating of requirements for systems or workflow enhancements.

Role Responsibilities:

• Working on Automation and Optimization projects for the Desk like Operations, pre-trade, post-trade, etc.
• The role would be to start with Operations workflow project and eventually align with the desks.
• Implement tools to analyse profitability of businesses/clients and optimization of resources.
• Perform data analysis for Trading desk.
• Work with controllers and the model r isk group s on model documentation and approval.
• Work with traders and originators on deal pricing and risk management.

Key Skills and Experience:

• Graduate up to 4 years of experience.
• Degree in quantitative subjects.
• Knowledge of financial mathematics is preferred.
• Strong programming experience, preferably in C++/Java/Scala/Python. Python experience is compulsory.
• Experience with SQL/ any RDBMS.
• Good analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
