Client Engagement Analytics, Vice President
The Wealth Management Analytics & Data (A&D) team within Morgan Stanley Client Segments Group owns all the executive reporting, insights, and predictive modeling in support of Wealth Management, Banking, and Firmwide Marketing. The Vice President, Client Engagement Marketing Analytics will work with data in a hands-on capacity to provide analytics, insights, and business intelligence to power client engagement and drive digital marketing, cross sell, and client incentive strategy. The right candidate will be curious about data and think strategically to go beyond providing reports, focusing on delivering actionable insights and driving business results. The ability to collaborate with multiple partners across Marketing, Product, Finance, Technology, and Analytics teams will be key for success in this role.
We are looking for a seasoned professional to join our Client Engagement Analytics function, to own key reporting and analytics in the client incentives/promotions and marketing campaigns areas.
The ideal candidate will be a strategic thought leader with deep expertise in using data in a hands-on capacity to provide analytics, insights, and business intelligence to power client engagement and drive cross-sell strategy across various Sales and Marketing channels, including delivery of key reports to senior management and stakeholders. High-level of autonomy, curiosity about data, and the ability to determine timely solutions while also thinking strategically to drive business results will all be markers of success in this role.
The candidate should also demonstrate AI- and automation-first mindset, leadership qualities, and an ability to develop talent and scale support efficiently while working effectively with offshore teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Client Engagement Analytics team reporting, insights generation, maintenance on Client incentives/promotions analytics and marketing campaigns. Focus areas will be performance measurement through KPI reporting, analytical deep dives, client profile analysis, customer segmentation, and ad-hoc strategic requests
- Present findings to key stakeholders with visualizations, clear message, and logical rationale, demonstrating data storytelling skills as well as ability to anticipate questions from senior audiences
- Build capabilities in analytics and data visualization across areas to inform business strategies; leverage AI and expertise on automation across disparate data sources/formats to create and maintain new and innovative datasets and solutions while continuing to streamline existing processes to improve efficiency
- Partner with Data Strategy, Infrastructure, and Tech teams to drive continuous improvement in processes and platforms, while establishing self as the SME that they seek input from on new initiatives.
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in science/engineering/mathematics/statistics; Master's degree in science (M.S.), MBA or other advanced degree preferred
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Data & Analytics, preferably in the financial services industry
Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python and expertise in hands-on data analytics and providing insights; experience in defining analytical approaches and applying a range of analytical tools to synthesize insights and develop solutions will be critical
- Extensive experience with business intelligence including reporting and process automation, data visualization tools (Tableau), and solid understanding of how they can be used as a compelling communication tool
- Strong technical skills & proficiency in data analysis and with ability to manipulate large datasets and to distill them into thoughtful conclusions and actionable recommendations
- Familiarity with applications like Dataiku, Snowflake, Hue (Hadoop), Salesforce, and Tableau is a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint)
- Keen focus on accuracy and analytical rigor, attention to detail, strong sense of ownership given the highly visibility nature of deliverables owned by the team
- Track record of working independently and solving problems creatively, as well as the ability to debug/maintain complex codes, come up with hypotheses, and defend assumptions with a strong sense of accountability and an eye for innovation
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner to audiences of various backgrounds/seniority; 2+ years in a client-facing position preferred
- Ability to work in a collaborative, transparent style within the team and with cross-functional stakeholders across the organization

Salary range for the position: 110,000 - 190,000 Yr. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit's incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus.
