Client Segment Entitlements Team is responsible for reviewing access management requests raised by the respective business units across Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Client Segments (WMCS) to promote consistency, governance, and operational efficiency. The Client Segment Entitlements Assistant Vice President will play a critical role in leading a team that is responsible for ensuring that employees across WMCS maintain access to appropriate tools and applications that facilitate the flow of business on a daily basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Team Management: Serve as local team lead to promote an accurate and detailed record of team responsibilities and activity tracking
  • Leadership Reporting: Maintain clear and consistent communication on status of projects and initiatives to ensure timely completion of deliverables and escalation of delays
  • Risk Supervisory: Report risk management issues and internal control deficiencies to ensure that issues and appropriate corrective action plans are addressed
  • Entitlements Approval Processing: Review entitlement requests to internal applications, client data, and other data repositories such as shared folders using business unit-defined rules and escalation paths
  • Enterprise Roles Setup & Maintenance: Regularly maintain and update enterprise roles to streamline onboarding of new users and reduce out of role entitlements using role-based access management. Work with the business to create new roles where appropriate
  • Entitlement Review Admin: Coordinate and facilitate periodic review cycles for all users, including annual out-of-role entitlement reviews, weekly transfer reviews, and other periodic reviews
  • Separation Of Duties (SOD) Review: Review entitlements conflicting with the SOD rules and determine if access is appropriate
  • Audit Readiness & Risk Compliance: Maintain documentation, logs, and evidence on entitlement request/approvals for internal/external audit inquiries, and assist in addressing any related audit findings

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree with 6-9 years of experience
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to foster strong relationships at all levels
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills and ability to function in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to delegate, manage and execute on a wide range of tasks and initiatives
  • Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to learn new technology and systems
  • Understanding of the Wealth Management business and products
  • Strong business judgment and problem-solving skills
  • Successfully complete background checks and pre-employment assessments
