What you'll do in the role:
- Own and deliver recurring and ad hoc reporting for Asset Movement platforms, including business metrics, operational KPIs, and trend analysis for leadership, product owners, and partner teams.
- Translate business questions into clear analytical approaches (metric definitions, data requirements, assumptions, and methodology) and communicate findings in an executive-ready format.
- Partner with Product Owners and/or serve as a Product Owner to scope features and develop business cases using data-driven insights (e.g., volume sizing, client impact, adoption forecasting, exception/defect trends, throughput, and cost-to-serve indicators).
- Build, maintain, and enhance dashboards and self-service reporting (e.g., Tableau) to improve transparency into platform health, adoption, and business outcomes; ensure outputs are accurate, repeatable, and well-documented.
- Perform deep-dive analyses on platform performance and operational outcomes (e.g., failure rates, exception handling, SLA adherence), identify drivers/root causes, and recommend actionable improvements.
- Respond to time-sensitive data requests from Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Audit by producing accurate historical transaction details, standardized metric definitions, and supporting documentation with clear lineage and assumptions.
- Support data controls and audit evidence by implementing/monitoring data quality checks (e.g., completeness, timeliness, accuracy) and maintaining traceable documentation for reporting artifacts.
- Conduct hands-on data quality investigations and clean-ups, including identifying data gaps, reconciling discrepancies across sources, validating integrity of key fields, and coordinating remediation with Technology and Operations.
- Support data governance for Asset Movement payment application data by helping define and maintain data definitions, business rules, data dictionaries, and metric calculation logic to ensure consistent reporting across stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Technology partners on data pipelines and ETL processes (source-to-target mapping, transformation logic, validation) and troubleshoot data issues impacting reporting and analytics deliverables.
Skills Required:
- Must be highly motivated and an independent leader with a strong work ethic and ownership mindset. Prior business analyst and leadership skills preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to use data to solve business problems and influence decisions.
- Intermediate SQL proficiency (joins, aggregations, basic window functions; ability to validate results and troubleshoot anomalies).
- Working knowledge of ETL and data pipeline concepts (data sourcing, transformations, scheduling/monitoring, reconciliation and validation).
- Experience producing dashboards and reporting solutions; Tableau experience preferred.
- Familiarity with analytics workflow tools (e.g., Dataiku) preferred; ability to build repeatable, well-documented analytical workflows.
- Strong data hygiene skills: data clean-up, deduplication, normalization, integrity checks, and reconciliation across multiple sources.
- Ability to define metrics/KPIs precisely (definitions, calculation logic, assumptions) and ensure consistency across stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both business and technical contexts; ability to present insights clearly and concisely to senior stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver accurate outputs under tight timelines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint (for analysis, summarization, and executive-ready materials).
- BA or BS preferred but not required.
