Asian Currency Funding Execution & Risk Management - Vice President

Within Finance, Treasury acts as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, analysis and advisory services of the Firm's financial and capital resources.

We're seeking a candidate to join our funding execution desk within Asia Treasury Capital Markets team to support the Asian currencies needs of the business.

This is a Vice President level position within the Corporate Treasury Market-facing/Managing Risk Job Family which is responsible for the management, execution, setting the liquidity investment policy and risk management of the Firm's unsecured funding issuance, investment of the Firm's liquidity resources of the non-bank subsidiaries.

What you'll do in the role:

- Manage Firm's liquidity reserve, investments, and currency needs in Asian currencies (including restricted currencies); Daily Profit & Loss (P&L) and Risk sign-off, and FX limit monitoring and execution

- Day to day Risk Manage/Hedging of FX exposures to Asian currencies (incl. non-deliverable ccys)
- Execute reverse repurchase agreements, FX swaps, as needed to meet internal and external requirements across Firm subsidiaries
- Calibrate Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) rates

- Engage directly with Business Units, Risk management, Finance and Operations on funding and liquidity impacts of market moves, large trades, MS capital actions etc

.- Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues across divisions of the Firm
- Proactively identify emerging risks in individual and department work and contribute to strategies for mitigating them
- Act as a role model and culture carrier; Embody and set an example of the Firm's values and hold yourself and others accountable to Firm standards

- Build effective working relationships with senior stakeholders within Corporate Treasury as well as Firm Risk Management, ISG Business Units, Bank Resource Management, Finance, Operations and Technology

- Proactive and problem-solving mindset
- Ability and willingness to work with global teams and colleagues across regions/timezones

- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, demanding, and high energy environment , while paying attention to detail

- Motivation to be accountable and ensure smooth day-to-day execution coverage

- Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills; ability to understand complex transactions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with teams across local and global offices in English

- Advanced understanding of Finance functional area, product and/or client segment and technical skills, as well as of industry and competitive environment
- Ability to provide positive and constructive feedback and acknowledge efforts of team members
- Ability to articulate risk and impact to various audiences, and create plans to mitigate those risks
- Knowledge of FX/Currency risk management practices in an international bank will be a plus
- At least 6 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
