Metrology Engineer

4 days ago Shanghai, China

At Meta Reality Labs, we are developing the future of Wearables and Mixed Reality products and this team focuses on developing display and optics technologies for Meta products. Their mission is to create see-through display systems that seamlessly blend the real and virtual realms. This involves designing the architecture and all display sub-systems for AR glasses based on leading technologies developed by Meta's teams. We work on creating advanced display technologies that are essential for AR and VR systems while having sub-teams who connect bits, electrons, photons, and experience for display products across wearables and the metaverse while focusing on display silicon architecture, applied perception studies, image quality, and defining the roadmap and long-term platform development strategy. Within Display & Optics organization, we also aim to develop and implement test, characterization, metrology, and data solutions to support the creation of transparent display systems. As a Metrology Engineer with an optical foundation, you will be responsible for developing and implementing precise, robust, high-throughput metrology solutions for critical dimension, profile, and film thickness metrology using optical Scatterometry, interferometry, reflectometry/ellipsometry, bright field, and/or laser scanning equipment to develop and control complex, multi-dimensional thin film head structures in high volume manufacturing. You will also have cross-functional duties, primarily in Inspection and other non-destructive metrology methods, and will work closely with process engineering in support of wafer manufacturing.
