3D Inkjet Process Development Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Process Development Engineer to join our team in the development of cutting-edge inkjet printing technology. You will be responsible for developing, and optimizing the slicing algorithms for our inkjet printers, ensuring high-quality prints and efficient performance. This role requires a combination of technical mastery, innovative problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration to drive the development.

3D Inkjet Process Development Engineer Responsibilities:

• Develop, optimize and test the slicing algorithms plus printhead calibration and maintenance algorithms
• Conduct experiments and simulations to evaluate the performance of the slicing algorithms and identify areas for improvement
• Develop and implement testing protocols to ensure the slicing algorithms meet performance and reliability standards
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in inkjet printing and fluid dynamics simulations

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
• Proven experience in process development in an industrial environment
• Demonstrated experience with software development, including programming languages such as Matlab and Python
• Familiarity with computational fluid dynamics modelling and simulation software, such as COMSOL
• Demonstrated experience with image processing algorithms and software, such as Adobe Photoshop or GIMP
• Demonstrated communication and collaboration skills, coupled with experience in working effectively with cross-functional teams
• Must have or be able to obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• 10+ years of engineering experience
• 5+ years of experience in process development in an industrial environment
• 5+ years of experience with inkjet printing technology, including slicing software and algorithms and ink flow dynamics
• Experience with design for additive manufacturing (DFAM) principles
