Participate in the auditing of accounting and financial data of McLane's IT&D departments, locations, functions, and projects; the review of operational functions; and the evaluation of internal controls in place throughout McLane IT&D. Participate in internal audit teams during the planning, execution, review, and report phases of the various internal audit engagements. Work with limited supervision on multiple projects with different managers and staff members.

What you'll do as a Sr IT Systems Auditor:

  • Communicate effectively in both oral and written formats.
  • Perform SOX and other IT General Controls (ITGC) testing.
  • Identify and assess risk related to IT systems control.
  • Participate in internal audit teams during the planning, execution, review, and report phases of the various internal audit engagements. Develop and execute audit plans, identify control deficiencies, and recommend opportunities for improvement.
  • Monitor and report situations requiring audit attention to management.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to exceptional performance.
  • Work with limited supervision on multiple projects with different managers and staff members.
  • Assist in staff development for less senior staff members.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications you'll bring as a Sr IT Systems Auditor:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Two or more years of experience in internal audit, finance, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in logistics and internal auditing preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as CISA or CPA (or actively working toward one) preferred.
  • Strong, demonstrated auditing experience, ideally in internal auditing across multiple departments, locations, functions, or projects.
  • Proficiency in evaluating internal controls and risk management, particularly around IT systems.
  • Familiarity with systems such as Oracle, AS400, and Manhattan WMS preferred.
  • This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.

Working Conditions:

  • The position will primarily work in an office environment, although considerable time can be spent in the distribution centers and other company locations
  • Occasional travel to other McLane locations (10-20% - varies depending on audit plan).
