POSITION: SHIPPING AND RECEIVING COORDINATOR

LOCATION: 1951 CHURCH STREET, ROCKY MOUNT, NC

DAYS/HOURS: MONDAY - FRIDAY 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM OR UNTIL WORK IS COMPLETE

HOURLY RATE: $18.00

JOB SUMMARY / GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Receiving Clerk accepts and confirms shipments of incoming products to the distribution center. Prior warehouse experience and AS/400 computing experience is preferred.

• Verify and input into computer system all records of incoming shipments.
• Monitor pallet quality and NCNS appointments.
• Compare shipment counts and weights against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
• Schedule all incoming shipments on a daily basis.
• Assist vendor delivery drivers as needed (for example, provide directions to the Distribution Center).
• Additional duties and/or special projects may be assigned at the supervisor's discretion.

MINIMUM SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or GED.
¨ 4 or more years' experience in a shipping department.
¨ 2 or more years' experience in a distribution environment.
¨ Experience shipping outside the US contiguous border is preferred.
¨ Strong math and documentation abilities.
¨ Solid organizational skills.
¨ Ability to investigate and resolve problems.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
¨ The environment encompasses all areas of a Distribution Center, Transportation Department, or Transportation Shop.
¨ This position may require work in hot and cold temperature extremes and exposure to dust, dirt, fumes, noise, potentially harmful chemicals, solvents and components, and working in close to proximity to other teammates.
