Maven is seeking an exceptional, high-impact SVP-level executive to lead our employer sales organization, significantly contributing to our ambitious revenue growth and market share expansion targets. In this pivotal role, you will be accountable for defining and executing the employer GTM strategy and directly spearheading our engagement with the largest employers (e.g., Fortune 100). This involves architecting innovative market demand strategies, leading high-stakes prospect and buyer engagement at the executive level, and negotiating complex, high-value deals with terms that ensure predictable revenue and position Maven for scalable, long-term market dominance.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- New Bookings: Own new logo acquisition and expansion (upsell) within the employer segment, driving pipeline health, disciplined deal execution, forecast accuracy, and high quality booking to revenue conversion, in partnership with the CRO.
- Go-To-Market & Key Deal Strategy: Define and drive the employer GTM strategy, with a focus on winning complex, high-impact new logo and expansion deals through direct, payer, and broker-led sales motions. Provide executive leadership and strategic oversight on the most critical opportunities, guiding teams through complex qualification, positioning, and close.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a senior team of people leaders (RVPs, Directors), fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and high performance across the employer sales organization. Serve as a visible, motivating leader and thought partner to the broader Maven organization, modeling strong judgment, clarity, and decisiveness.
- Talent Management: Own the development and progression of senior sales talent, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and succession planning. Ensure the organization has the leadership depth and capability required to support Maven’s next phase of growth.
- Healthcare Expertise & Ecosystem Influence: Bring deep healthcare and employer benefits expertise to shape Maven’s commercial strategy and differentiate the company in a competitive market. Build and maintain senior-level relationships across the healthcare ecosystem, including brokers, benefits administrators, and strategic partners, to expand Maven’s influence and market access.
- Market Representation & External Presence: Act as a senior external representative for Maven, strengthening the company’s brand and credibility with employers, partners, and industry stakeholders. Represent Maven at key industry events, conferences, and forums, helping shape market narrative and positioning.

Required Experience & Competencies
- Proven Revenue Leadership: Demonstrated track record of consistently meeting or exceeding large, multi-million-dollar enterprise sales targets through complex, high-value deal execution.
- Executive Sales Experience: 10+ years of senior leadership experience in digital health or adjacent enterprise SaaS, with deep exposure to selling strategic solutions to HR, Benefits, and C-suite stakeholders.
- Complex Deal Strategy & Closure: Extensive experience leading and influencing teams through complex, multi-million-dollar enterprise negotiations, including executive alignment, consensus building, and successful close.
- Healthcare & Market Credibility: Strong healthcare and employer benefits domain expertise, with the ability to engage credibly with senior buyers, brokers, and ecosystem partners to shape market perception and demand.
- Talent & Performance Leadership: Proven ability to build, develop, and manage high-performing sales leadership teams, including setting expectations, coaching at the executive level, and driving sustained performance.
- Executive Presence & Influence: Exceptional executive communication skills and the ability to build trust and alignment with internal leadership, external partners, and enterprise clients.
Helpful experiences and backgrounds
- An established, senior network of relationships with key executive stakeholders in the healthcare industry: brokers, benefits administration platforms, exchanges, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize market feedback into actionable insights for Product and Executive teams.
- Extensive experience working and succeeding cross-functionally in a high-velocity start-up environment.
The OTE range for this role is approximately $450,000-500,000 per year. Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, and skillset. You will also be entitled to receive equity and benefits.
This role requires active work authorization in the US.
Maven embraces a flexible hybrid work model. This role is open to candidates based in the New York Metropolitan area, or remote from within the US [edit by country as needed]. For those in our New York City office, we encourage in-person collaboration by requiring team members to work onsite three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday). This policy aims to balance remote work flexibility with the benefits of face-to-face interaction.
