We’re seeking a People Operations Manager to lead the design, execution, and continuous improvement of scalable People infrastructure that supports Maven’s growth. In this senior individual contributor role, you will drive operational excellence across the employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding while ensuring compliance, audit readiness, and an exceptional employee experience.
You’ll play a critical role in modernizing and transforming our People Operations function, including leading AI-enabled process innovation, strengthening governance frameworks, and building scalable systems that support a fast-paced, mission-driven organization. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy and execution, can operate autonomously, and brings clarity, structure, and rigor to complex environments.
As a People Operations Manager at Maven, you will:
- Partner with People Team leadership to evolve People Operations strategy and modernize workflows through AI and automation.
- Own the People Operations help desk, driving SLA performance, knowledge management, and continuous improvement.
- Redesign People team processes to ensure scalability, data integrity, and cross-functional alignment.
- Design and optimize end-to-end onboarding and offboarding experiences in partnership with Recruiting, IT, Payroll, Employee Experience and HRBPs.
- Ensure compliant separations, accurate documentation, and strong employee experience outcomes.
- Manage immigration processes and serve as the primary internal point of contact.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and lead internal and external audits.
- Draft and maintain People policies and oversee employee handbook administration in partnership with Legal.
- Build and maintain SOPs and standardized workflows across the People function.
- Lead complex People initiatives from planning through execution, ensuring strong cross-functional delivery.
- Partner cross-functionally to support effective position management and ensure alignment on headcount planning and organizational needs.
- Partner with members of the People Operations, Payroll, Recruiting, and Total Rewards to ensure system accuracy and process efficiencies.
- Partner with HR Business Partners to operationalize scalable, data-driven people programs and processes across the organization.
- Own and optimize the People Team tech stack (ATS and related tools) to ensure data integrity, effective reporting, and efficient, scalable hiring processes.

We’re looking for you to bring:
- 8+ years of progressive experience in People Operations or HR, with significant exposure to compliance and operational strategy.
- Experienced in managing immigration processes and working with external counsel.
- Strong background in designing scalable onboarding and offboarding programs.
- Proven experience leading audits, policy development, and handbook administration.
- Demonstrated success driving cross-functional projects and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Experienced in HR and Recruiting systems optimization and process automation (AI experience strongly preferred).
- Analytical and data-driven, comfortable building dashboards and translating insights into action.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with a strong bias toward structure, documentation, and operational excellence.
The base salary range for this role is $125,000 - $150,000 per year. You will also be entitled to receive equity and benefits. Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, and skillset.
