Sr Prod Dev Engineer

Job Description

• Leading front-end product design & development, collaborating with US and local design & development teams and outside vendors to interpret initial concepts to manufacturable products. 
• Building up standard design; platform; structure; modules and manufacturing process etc. to optimize cost effective design solutions. Digitalizing standard design elements to cope with the company’s D3 initiative. 
• Exploring new industry technologies and translating to product designs, innovative thinking throughout design & development cycles.
• Smart Manufacturing – Team up with internal & external stakeholders to optimize manufacturing efficiency; value engineering and quality first measurements etc.
• Coaching / Sharing with local PDE team for further developments.  
• Providing engineering support and consultation to internal and external partners.
• Defining the short-term and long-term objectives and quantify improvement measures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with major in Electro-mechanical or related industrial engineering disciplines.
• A minimum of 15 years’ experience in product design & development; preferable in high complexity Radio Control category. 
• High proficiency in design applications, especially in ProE, Creo etc.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.  
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
• Proactive, result-driven, and able to work independently and under pressure.
• Knowledgeable experiences related to high complexity motorized mechanism, modeling, tooling, programming, battery configurations etc.
• Quality First Mindset and familiar with international safety standards.
• Strong sense of scheduling and costing.
