Job Description
The LATAM Demand Planning Manager is responsible for leading the demand planning process across all Mattel
product lines in the LATAM region, including Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Peru, and export markets. This
strategic role focuses on retail and e-commerce channels, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure
accurate forecasting, inventory optimization, and alignment with business goals through the S&OP process.
What You’ll Do
• Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using historical data, market trends, and commercial input.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance teams to integrate qualitative insights into the planning
process.
• Lead the regional S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) process, ensuring alignment between demand and
supply.
• Analyze forecast deviations and propose corrective actions to improve accuracy.
• Optimize inventory levels and coverage in coordination with local supply chain teams.
• Leverage analytical tools (Excel, Tableau, Anaplan, ISIS Americas) to generate performance reports and
visualizations.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as: forecast accuracy (forecast variance, bias and value add),
fill rate, and inventory obsolescence.
• Partner with global teams to implement best practices and corporate standards.
Qualifications
Who We’re Looking For
• Bachelor's Degree Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Logistics,
or related field.
• Master's Degree Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Analytics, or related areas is a plus.
• At least 5 years of experience in demand planning, supply chain, or related functions. and
• 2 or more years of experience in Supply Planning, Customer Fulfillment, Replenishment Planning, Sales &
Operations Planning (S&OP)
• Experience in multicultural and regional environments, preferably in consumer goods or retail industries.
• Languages: Native Spanish and advanced English (spoken and written). Portuguese is a plus.
• Tools & Systems: Advanced Excel, Tableau, working knowledge of Anaplan and ISIS Americas.
• Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
• Communication: Skilled in influencing and collaborating across cross-functional teams at Director+ level
• Strategic Thinking Business- and customer-oriented mindset with a focus on results.
• Adaptability Comfortable working in dynamic and fast-paced environments.
• Demand Driven Planner Professional (DDPP) Demand Driver Institute
• Certified Forecaster and Demand Planner (CFDP) ISCEA
• APICS/ASCM certifications
• CPIM (Certified in Planning and Inventory Management)
