As countries around the world are seeking to develop modern real-time payment ("RTP") systems, Mastercard is partnering with customers to deliver a suite of solutions to meet their infrastructure, applications and services needs. Building from our acquisitions in the United Kingdom (Vocalink) and the Nordics (Mastercard Payment Services), Mastercard provides a leading account to account and bulk payment infrastructure which supports real-time payment providers/schemes, participating Banks/FIs and their customers around the world. The services we offer to our customers in the United Kingdom account for 90% of salaries paid, nearly all benefits payments, all cheques cleared and a majority of ATM transactions serving for 60+ million citizens every day - in numbers, that is 12 billion transactions every year.

The VP, FP&A & Strategy, Vocalink, which reports to the Sr. Vice President, CFO, Vocalink, will partner with the business teams to drive forward and support the business strategy, ensure sound financial controls, lead the finance teams, and maximise return on investment. Being able to analyse data, think strategically and provide leadership are key attributes for success as is the ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders located across the globe.

Role Responsibilities
• Lead FP&A management of Vocalink.
o Work cross-functionally with business partners to lead the budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning and target-setting for the Vocalink business
o Partner with business teams and global functions (Treasury, Network, Product, Engineering, Compliance, Legal and Regulatory) to optimise revenue, expense and operating profit
o Work across Vocalink Limited businesses to identify, measure and deliver expense efficiency opportunities and drive process improvements
• Oversight of legal entity reporting, financial reporting and board governance preparation.
o Support the Vocalink business and Board in their obligations and requirements for financial, statutory and regulatory reporting requirements for Vocalink and for the Bank of England
o Produce and present product financials and analysis of business performance, including tracking of progress against budget and business cases
o Ensure a sound and well-controlled financial environment
• Oversee business development and strategic planning
o Assist with developing the strategic plan for Vocalink to drive long-term revenue growth and to optimise expenses
o Fully support the business development workflow process through reviewing and approving business deals, ensuring business cases drive high return on investment and profitable streams of revenue

All About You
Leadership Attributes/Qualifications
• Proven ability to build high performing teams, history of strong leadership, teamwork and the ability to work in a matrixed organisation
• Experience in leading a team that is geographically dispersed and to be part of a geographically diverse team
• Fluency in English, with excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation
• Demonstrable history of thoughtful risk-taking, business acumen, thought leadership, commitment and strong sense of urgency
• Executive presence and gravitas with the ability to influence others; demonstrable ability to see the bigger picture and guide the business accordingly
• Ability to think strategically and to provide an Executive-level view while commanding a sound grasp of the details

Experience/Education:
• MBA and/or CPA/Chartered Accountant preferred
• Solid accounting skills, excellent finance skills including modelling and scenario analysis, budget, planning and forecast experience, solid understanding of the business or demonstrated learning agility are required. Operational experience very desirable
• International experience is a plus as well as geographic mobility
