Job Title
Sr. Engineer, Software Development Engineering

The Role
Senior Engineer at MasterCard is a high performing engineer within the organization and spearheads the architecture or framework implementations. Participate in the Software Development Life Cycle through Coaching, Proof of Concepts, Code reviews etc. and influence development practices so that they are compliant with best practices, policies and procedures. Skilled at implementing new technologies, frameworks and tools and supporting multiple concurrent activities.

All about you
• Batchelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 7+ years of Software development experience using Hands-on experience in Java, JPA, React, Design Patterns understanding, Spring, Spring boot, Spring Batch, REST API, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Jenkins, Postgres, GIT and good in Security Concepts.
• Successfully complete complex development (UI/Backend) assignments with broad scope and considering long-term implications.
• Works in an agile operating model, collaborating with other engineers, tech leads and other functions to deliver an exceptional user experience to our customers.
• Automates and simplifies team development, test, deployment, and operations processes.

• Works with new frameworks and technologies, assists with prototyping and ensure a high level of code quality from the team.
• Documents application knowledge and train new team members
• Troubleshoots complex problems, determines root cause and permanently corrects.
• Provides support on activities such development environment management, establish required connectivity, provision developer access to various tools and resources.
• Understands the maintenance, operational and runtime characteristics of the platform software
Qualifications:
• Good to have understanding on X-Ray, TestRail
• Advanced knowledge of Software Engineering Concepts and Methodologies
• Detail-oriented, proactive and able to function under pressure in an independent environment along with a high degree of initiative and self-motivation to drive results.
• Strong communication skills -- both verbal and written - and strong relationship, collaboration skills
