Senior Java Developer

Overview

Are you a Senior Java Developer who wants to build innovative products for Norwegian banks?
Mastercard Payment Services Norway (MPSNO) is looking for a senior Java developer to participate in a team working with development and maintenance of our BKAD service. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical and possesses and entrepreneurial mindset

The development team uses the Scrum methodology and works closely together with the product owner and relevant business managers to succeed with the product vision.

In this position you will
• Contribute to development and delivery of software solutions. Move and adjust existing applications and customization adhering to MasterCard standards, processes and best practices.
• Perform system maintenance, identification of root cause and remediation of the problems.
• Develop and maintain our services.
• Be a partner for developers and testers as well as for our Business Unit to discuss solutions and functionality.
• Work in a team with other developers/testers to achieve the overall goal.

Your professional qualifications include
• You hold a relevant higher education degree.
• You have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with Java development.
oWe are open to considering candidates with less experience, providing other personal and professional qualifications match well
• You have experience with agile development processes (E.g. Scrum, Kanban).
• Skilled in backend technologies like Spring, JPA and webservices (REST/SOAP).
• You have experience with Java, Spring and Hibernate.
• You have experience with databases and SQL.
• Experience with development of REST-based APIs.
• Knowledge of Git, Jenkins, Maven, IntelliJ, Splunk.

• Ability to see areas of improvement and suggest suitable solutions.
