Title and Summary

Senior Analyst - Acquiring & Acceptance

Acquiring is part of the Digital Partners team in Mastercard Spain, focused on serving all players in the value chain of acquiring and acceptance of payment transactions in Spain, currently active or with a growth strategy in the country.
This role is essential to protect and increase Mastercard's acquiring revenues and partner brand preference and developing new growth opportunities.
The role requires building up and growing on the business relationship with current key domestic acquirers and central acquirers and/or approaching the country ("Acquiring Role") and key ISVs, PSPs, Payfacs, Orchestrators and partners ("PSP Role") as well as key counterparts in specialized verticals ("Acceptance Counterpart Role").
It will also require building up new business development solutions to enhance/ grow acceptance on verticals and on new technologies.

Role
- Support in account management activities with accounts under management, with supervision of Acceptance lead
- Support in preparation of sales documentation and business performance/reporting
- Support development of local and central acquirers and technological payment services providers PSPs to ensure open dialogue, manage day to day business, identify opportunities, enhance business and ensure acceptance quality.
- Liaise key internal stakeholders across Europe to handle acquiring related queries of financial, business and operational nature
- Engage with assigned counterparts (acquirers, PSP, Processors, Terminal Vendors and others)
- Support execution of plans to expand MasterCard acceptance (e.g. new verticals, point of interaction, secular shift) in Spain

All About You
- Excellent problem solving, analytics, and business sense
- Solid inter-personal and communication skills both in Spanish and English written and oral
- Team-player with hands-on attitude
- Ability to develop customer relationships and deriving business opportunities out of an in-depth understanding of customer needs
- Results-oriented and customer-focused
- Strong Business Development / Relationship Management background, being expertise in acquiring space a plus
- Ability to understand and execute on key operational aspects, and attentive to details
