Lead Software Engineer
Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Software Engineer to join our Data Science Workbench Platform team. This role is ideal for someone with deep technical expertise in Java, Python, MLOps, and DevOps practices, along with strong leadership and mentoring capabilities. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the payment card industry and be proficient in designing and consuming APIs. Experience with Kubernetes is a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable components for the Data Science Workbench Platform.
Architect and implement robust MLOps pipelines to support model lifecycle management.
Develop and maintain APIs for internal and external integrations.
Champion DevOps practices using tools like Chef, Jenkins, and Bitbucket to ensure CI/CD and infrastructure automation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, product managers, and business stakeholders.
Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
Translate business requirements into technical solutions with a strong understanding of the payment card industry.
Drive platform reliability, scalability, and performance improvements.
Contribute to Kubernetes-based deployment strategies and container orchestration.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
8+ years of software engineering experience with at least 2 years in a lead role.
Strong proficiency in Java and Python.
Hands-on experience with MLOps tools and frameworks.
Proven expertise in API development and integration.
Deep understanding of DevOps methodologies and tools: Chef, Jenkins, Bitbucket.
Excellent leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.
Solid business domain knowledge of the payment card industry.
Experience with Kubernetes and containerized environments is a plus.
