Title and Summary

Director, Business Development

As Director of Business Development for Merchant Partnerships, you will lead Mastercard's strategic efforts to grow our merchant partnerships in the UK&I across multiple verticals -Hospitality, Entertainment, Media & Telcos. This role is pivotal in strengthening our engagement with merchants, driving adoption of Mastercard's digital products (tokenisation & Click-to-Pay) and selling in a growing set of capabilities across the value-add service mix.

You will serve as the primary interface for internal and external stakeholders, shaping merchant engagement strategies and delivering scalable solutions that align with Mastercard's digital transformation goals.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute partnership strategies with merchants to support revenue growth and strategic objectives for Mastercard.

- Development and execution of segment strategy framework, aligning with internal key stakeholders to support key activities .

- Execute the deployment of Mastercard's digital capabilities across merchant portfolio including tokenisation, SCOF, and Click-to-Pay.

- Identify opportunities across the merchant portfolio to position value add services and collaborate with internal teams to execute.

- Negotiation of commercial framework agreements to support implementation of strategic objectives.

- Provide strategic thought leadership and demonstrate the wider Mastercard value to the merchant community.

- Represent and champion the voice of the merchant to internal stakeholders to help shape the Mastercard value proposition.

- Leading a Manager of Business Development within your team and harness collaborative efforts to enhance strategic partnerships and drive growth.
