Job Description:

As we work to transform and optimize Mars, a new program has been mobilized by the Mars leadership team. The program is focused on the design and implementation of SAP S/4HANA in Mars across Segments (Petcare, Corporate, Snacking & Food). Much more than a simple "Lift and Shift," this program will undertake a major process simplification and harmonization scope as we digitally transform our business.

The program will focus primarily on eight mega process areas: Finance, Source to Pay (procurement and vendor mgmt.), Plan to Fulfill (manufacturing and distribution), Lead to Cash (order processing and payment), Governance, Engage to Consume (marketing), Idea to Market (R&D), and Recruit to Retire (HR). This program requires a Technology and Transformation Team for delivering the technical foundations and operational readiness of the S/4HANA Transformation.

As part of the Transformation Team, the Basis workstream, following Mars Technical Architecture Key Principles and SAP best practice will deliver a robust S/4 landscape which will be scalable and High Available to meet the requirements of Mars future deployments. This team will provide a robust Basis strategy, governance and quality , methodology, supported by system tools.

As part of this transformation, a new role has been created for a Basis Senior Lead. This role will be responsible for collecting and defining the landscape and environment (Systems and Clients), System Alerting and monitoring, system tooling, system capacity and performance and other system requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the point of contact for the basis program requirements
  • Define, plan and coordinate SAP Environments build
  • Maintain the landscape and system integration diagram
  • System Alerting and monitoring strategy
  • System Basis KDDs submission, review and approval through DA governance.
  • Enforce technical architecture standards (Scalability, High Availability and Security)
  • Basis system changes governance methodology and Strategy
  • Manage Junior Basis Team members

Job specifications and qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Relevant certifications (SAP, ITIL) is a plus
  • SAP RISE experience
  • ActiveControl (Basis Technologies Software) experience is a plus

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of SAP experience, with strong exposure to S/4HANA environments
  • Strong knowledge of CALM
  • Ability to collaborate efficiently with both technical and non-technical teams
  • Digital Transformation S/4 Deployment experience
  • Solid background in both project delivery (build) and production support
  • Experience working in complex, multi-system integration landscapes

Technical Skills:

  • Strong expertise and experience of SAP BASIS S/4HANA
  • Strong troubleshooting and debugging capabilities in complex and large SAP landscape

Social Skills:

  • Strong communication skills with ability to translate system defects into business or delivery impact
  • Structured problem-solving and decision-making mindset
  • Strong collaboration skills in global, cross teams from different countries and cultures
  • Ability to operate under pressure and manage critical situations effectively
