Cloud CoE Solution Architect

Job Description:

As a Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) Solution Architect you will play a critical role in driving the cloud adoption strategy and architecture for the organization. You will work with a team of cloud soutions architects and oversee the development and implementation of Mars' platforms and cloud-based systems in use every day. The Cloud CoE Client Solutions team works closely with other cloud CoE Towers and Enterprise Architects, operations teams, and other stakeholders to develop the necessary services and landing zones for unique projects that will be deployed to the Mars cloud.

What are we looking for?

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field is typically required. Some organizations may accept equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree.

• 5+ years of experience as a Solution Architect or a similar role with a focus on cloud architecture and design.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing enterprise-level solutions, considering scalability, performance, security, and integration requirements.
• Strong knowledge of software development principles, methodologies, and technologies.
• Experience in working with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to gather requirements, define solution architecture, and provide technical guidance.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and their services, including hands-on experience in architecting solutions on these platforms.
• Understanding of security principles and best practices, including data protection, identity management, and compliance requirements.
• Experience with architecture frameworks and methodologies, such as TOGAF or similar frameworks, to develop and document solution architectures.

• Assess business demands/objectives requirements.
• Create architectural diagrams (Low Level Diagrams - LLD).
• Ensure scalability and elasticity.
• Comply with availability and fault tolerance requirements.
• Implement cloud solutions using infrastructure-as-code approach (e.g.: Terraform, Ansible, etc).
• Ensure security and compliance standards (from Service Office and Finance)
• Performance & Cost optimization
• SPOC in CCoE for customer LLD/Deployment Projects
• Assist in cross-functional team design discussions
• Provide feedback about service catalog available requests
• Be the cloud ambassador (promote Cloud adoption)
