About Us

MarketAxess is on a journey to digitally transform one of the world’s largest financial markets, enabling the shift from analog, phone-based trading to a fully electronic marketplace. Changing the way an established industry transacts is no easy feat. There will be twists and turns, because no one’s ever done this before. But now, more than 2,000 clients around the world rely on our solutions, and that number is only expected to grow in the years ahead. We know where we’re going. How we get there is up to us. Join us and help Take Us There.

The Role

We are seeking a Senior Recruiter to join our high-performing global Talent Acquisition team. This role will focus on hiring across business and commercial functions, with a particular emphasis on attracting talent with experience in fixed income, trading, capital markets, and financial services.

Reporting to the Global Head of Recruiting, this is a highly visible opportunity for a recruiter who brings strong market knowledge, excellent stakeholder management skills, and a proactive, execution-focused approach. The successful candidate will play an important role in helping MarketAxess attract exceptional talent while acting as a trusted partner to hiring managers and business leaders.

This is an ideal opportunity for a recruiter who understands the dynamics of the financial market’s talent landscape, is confident engaging with front-office and business stakeholders and can represent the MarketAxess story in a compelling and credible way to candidates. The role also requires a strong interest in how AI and data insights can improve candidate engagement and their overall experience.

What You’ll Get to Do

  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle across assigned roles, from intake briefing and market mapping through sourcing, assessment, offer management, and onboarding partnership.
  • Partner closely with hiring managers and business leaders to understand hiring priorities, define role requirements, and develop effective search strategies.
  • Recruit for roles with a focus on non-technical hiring, particularly those aligned to sales, trading, corporate services, operations, and other business functions.
  • Build and maintain strong candidate pipelines.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders by providing insight into market conditions, talent availability, candidate expectations, and competitive hiring trends.
  • Create compelling and targeted job descriptions and ensure a high-quality, consistent candidate and interviewer experience.
  • Use innovative sourcing tools and data-driven recruiting practices to identify and engage high-caliber talent.
  • Maintain accurate candidate and pipeline activity within the Applicant Tracking System (Greenhouse) to support data integrity and reporting.
  • Contribute to the continued success of a lean, collaborative, and high-performing global recruitment team, bringing ideas, energy, and a continuous improvement mindset.

What We’re Looking for

  • 6+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally within financial services, capital markets, trading, fixed income, or FinTech environments.
  • Strong understanding of the global hiring market, with experience recruiting for non-technical business roles.
  • Demonstrated success hiring talent with backgrounds in fixed income, trading, markets, or related financial services disciplines.
  • A proactive, self-starting approach, with the ability to manage multiple searches and stakeholder relationships effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the confidence to partner with senior hiring managers and provide credible market insight.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage numerous candidates, interview processes, and hiring priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly and confidently articulate the MarketAxess value proposition, business model, growth story, and career opportunities to candidates.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
