The Role
The Disaster Recovery and Resilience Lead is responsible for the design, coordination, and leadership of the firmwide technology resilience and disaster recovery program to improve resilience and response capabilities to disasters. This position requires a proven subject matter expert with demonstrated competency in the planning, design, development, program execution, maintenance and testing of platform resilience, disaster recovery, and cyber-attack recovery capabilities.
How You'll Help Take Us There
- Coordinate with business and technology stakeholders to understand and catalog technology services that are critical to the business with respect to resiliency and disaster recovery.
- Coordinate with business and technology stakeholders to set and communicate targets for recovery and resiliency including recovery time objectives and recovery point objectives.
- Analyze and evaluate infrastructure and application design with respect to resiliency and recovery.
- Identify, design, and collaborate on architectural approaches for achieving resiliency across critical technology services.
- Lead execution of planned disaster recovery and resiliency tests measuring recovery times and recovery points achieved vs. targets.
- Provide reports to management on resiliency, recovery readiness, test results, and program roadmaps.
- Lead technology recovery from disaster in response to actual events.
- Partner with infrastructure, application and business teams to develop, test, and maintain recovery procedures.
- Develop recovery priorities, timelines, and strategy for proper sequence of recovery components.
- Collaborate with technology staff to develop and implement best practices to protect and restore data in the event of disasters and cyber attacks.
- Document any gaps found during testing exercises and track and ensure remediation.
- Educate and train IT and business members in practices of technology risk disaster recovery planning.
- Build cross-functional relationships to get buy-in and support.

What We’re Looking for
- 5+ years of disaster recovery and/or technology resilience-focused experience
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in electronic trading technology including familiarity with the FIX protocol
- Thorough understanding of technology resiliency and disaster recovery best practices
- Strong grasp of technology including infrastructure and application layers, including datacenter and cloud (AWS) environments
- Ability to think through hypothetical situations and concepts and to identify risks and weaknesses in various business processes
- Ability to collaborate with and influence others to advance the program
- Excellent strategic, problem solving, and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with AI large language model tools and ability to leverage AI to accelerate productivity

For job positions in NYC, NY, and other locations where required, the estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $150,000 USD to $225,000 USD. Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. You may also be eligible for annual cash incentives, equity, and other benefit programs.
