Lowe's Foundation Communications Assistant Manager
Your Impact
The Lowe's Foundation communications assistant manager will help promote and protect the reputation of the Foundation and its mission to build an inclusive and sustainable skilled trades workforce through a 5-year, $50 million commitment to create 50,000 tradespeople.
The communications assistant manager will be responsible for supporting the design, implementation and measurement of communications to showcase the Lowe's Foundation's impact with key stakeholders and support its national strategy, focused on skilled trades workforce development. The ideal candidate is a passionate, results-oriented trendspotter with a "can-do attitude and superb writing skills.
The Lowe's Foundation is a separate 501c (3) organization run by an independent Board of Directors and governed by bylaws.
What you will do
- Support earned, owned, paid and organic social channel strategies to highlight Lowe's Foundation milestones, grant recipients, stakeholders and skilled trades industry trends
- Drive integrated communication plans, newsletters, creative grant recipient storytelling and editorial planning aligned with strategy, deadlines and budgets
- Monitor skilled trades news and industry trends to inform integrated communications and opportunities for thought leadership
- Develop press releases, media materials, briefing books, key messaging, remarks and presentations to support Foundation spokespeople and grant announcements
- Report on impact through media coverage, social engagement and events with vendor-partners, Lowe's associates and industry partners
- Maintain and enhance communications resources with consistency including fact sheets, stakeholder toolkits and messaging library
- Respond to internal and external inquiries while vetting awards and speaking engagements
- Help prepare materials and present at board meetings
- Build, maintain and manage cross-functional relationships to ensure seamless collaboration with the Lowe's Foundation, External Communications, Corporate Events, Internal Communications, Executive Communications, Digital Content, Culture, Diversity and Community Engagement, Marketing, Investor Relations and Legal
- Support Lowe's Foundation Building Futures fundraisers, stakeholder events and grantee site visits
- Support and advocate for engagement with Lowe's associates and external stakeholders, as appropriate
- Draft and approve communications and supervise the project management of special communications projects and initiatives
- Actively participate in grant recipient virtual community engagement platform

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree / Communications, journalism or public relations
- 4 years PR / Communications / Journalism / Public Affairs / Marketing experience
Preferred Skills/Education
- 6 years PR / Communications / Journalism / Public Affairs / Marketing experience
- 3 years Philanthropic / Nonprofit / Higher Education experience
- 5 years Experience in corporate retail and/or skilled trades sector
