Job Overview:
The Head of Pricing & Valuation is a senior leadership role within the Global Fund Finance organization, responsible for overseeing the firm’s end-to-end pricing and valuation framework across public mutual funds, UCITS, institutional portfolios, and select private assets. Reporting to the Head of Global Fund Finance, this role has primary accountability for valuation governance, regulatory compliance, and independent price challenge processes, and serves as the firm’s senior valuation representative to mutual fund boards, auditors, regulators, and internal stakeholders.

The role leads the Pricing and Valuation team, chairs and coordinates internal Valuation Councils, and ensures that all valuation activities are performed in accordance with established valuation policies, ASC Topic 820, and applicable regulatory guidance. The Head of Pricing & Valuation partners closely with Investments, Trading, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Fund Accounting, and third-party pricing vendors to maintain a robust and defensible valuation control environment.
We’ll trust you to:
- Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for the Pricing and Valuation function across all products and asset classes
- Own and oversee daily, monthly, and ad hoc valuation processes for mutual funds, UCITS, institutional portfolios, and private investments held by these vehicles
- Serve as the primary valuation liaison to mutual fund Boards, including preparation and presentation of valuation materials, methodologies, and key judgment areas
- Chair and coordinate internal Pricing and Valuation Councils, ensuring timely escalation, documentation, and resolution of complex valuation matters
- Maintain and enhance valuation policies, procedures, and controls in accordance with ASC Topic 820, SEC guidance, and industry best practices
- Oversee fair value determinations for securities requiring judgment, including thinly traded, structured, distressed, or private instruments
- Ensure strong governance over pricing vendors, models, methodologies, and tolerance frameworks
- Partner closely with Investments, Trading, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Fund Accounting to ensure alignment on valuation outcomes and disclosures
- Lead regulatory, audit, and examination interactions related to valuation matters, including support for internal and external audits
- Drive continuous improvement, automation, and scalability within valuation processes as product complexity and asset mix evolve
- Develop, mentor, and retain a high-performing Pricing and Valuation team, fostering a strong control mindset and collaborative culture
You'll need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline; CPA or CFA preferred
- 15+ years of experience in pricing, valuation, fund accounting, audit, or valuation control roles within asset management, audit, or financial services
- Deep expertise in fair value measurement under ASC Topic 820 across equity, fixed income, derivatives, structured products, and private assets
- Demonstrated experience presenting valuation matters to mutual fund boards, audit committees, or regulators
- Strong leadership experience managing and developing professional teams
- Proven ability to exercise sound judgment in complex, high-risk valuation scenarios
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex valuation topics clearly to senior audiences
- Advanced proficiency with Bloomberg and valuation-related data sources; strong analytical and Excel skills
- Collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence across functions

Compensation Information: Annual base salary for this role is $200,000 - $250,000. Salary is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different.
Discretionary Bonus: Role may be eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus. Discretionary bonuses are determined by several factors including, but not limited to, firm, team, and individual performance.
