Position: Senior Manager, Audience Journey Marketing

Role Overview: Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts seeks a Senior Manager, Audience Journey Marketing to create audience journeys and lifecycle marketing strategies that foster discovery and build loyalty with Lincoln Center's mission, performances, artists, and resident arts organizations. Reporting to the Lifecycle & Retention Marketing Director, the Senior Manager will be responsible for optimizing personalization tools towards next-best-action, from welcome and re-engagement to discovery, repeat attendance, loyalty, and cross-campus participation. Combining data-driven strategy with hands-on platform experience, the Senior Manager will have the opportunity to collaborate with teams across the organization to drive innovation, implement new marketing tools, and lead the development and execution of engaging, personalized lifecycle communications across channels.

Key Responsibilities:

Lifecycle Marketing Strategy & Audience Journey Design

  • Develop lifecycle marketing and audience engagement strategies, translating organizational goals into actionable plans for building loyalty.
  • Design audience journeys across marketing channels, using persona-based and behavioral segmentation, to guide audiences to the next best action.
  • Build, test, and scale new approaches to connecting audiences with Lincoln Center performances and artists to encourage repeat attendance, cross-genre discovery, loyalty, and advocacy.

Campaign Development & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Programming and Campaign Marketing teams to translate artistic product, brand campaigns, and seasonal themes into audience journeys and lifecycle marketing campaigns.
  • Collaborate with Digital Experience and Digital Content teams to implement new cross-platform audience journeys, leveraging digital tools to drive audience engagement and supporting web and commerce product development and messaging to integrate audience journey strategy.
  • Collaborate with Membership and Individual Giving teams to design and implement member acquisition and individual giving pathways for ticket buyers.
  • Collaborate with Marketing teams at Lincoln Center's resident arts organizations to promote cross-campus discovery and attendance.
  • Develop audience journey marketing campaign briefs, collaborate with copywriters and designers, and build campaigns for email, SMS, and paid media channels.

Segmentation, Personalization, & Optimization

  • Design targeting and personalized messaging plans for CRM audiences.
  • Own segmentation processes in our CRM, Tessitura, ensuring proper list hygiene, data usage, and compliance.
  • Develop campaign testing plans, analyze performance, and incorporate learnings into campaigns.
  • Track engagement and retention KPIs, report on insights, and use learnings to optimize journeys.

Operational Leadership & Team Development

  • Work with the Digital Experience team to implement and optimize audience journey marketing tools.
  • Lead email marketing operations and support internal users of our email service provider with education, segmentation protocols, and campaign coordination.
  • Manage and develop junior members of the team.
  • Stay up to date on lifecycle marketing industry developments and provide the team with resources and guidance on new tools, trends, and best practices to drive innovation.
  • Success will be measured through campaign performance, conversion rates, repeat attendance and retention rates, list health, and loyalty KPIs, as well as demonstrated ability to deliver timely results through productive collaboration, clear communication, and effective project management.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years professional experience in an engagement marketing, lifecycle marketing, or arts marketing role
  • Demonstrated experience building audience engagement through targeted audience journeys
  • Expertise working with CRM systems to manage customer data, segmentation, and reporting. Experience working with Tessitura a plus.
  • Proficiency with email service providers and SMS platforms to build, test, and deploy campaigns. Experience working with WordFly a plus.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills to drive projects forward with cross-functional teams
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive, adaptable, and solution-oriented mindset
  • Ability to think critically and analyze data to provide actionable recommendations for future campaigns
  • Passion for the performing arts and connecting audiences with transformative arts experiences
  • Ability to work in our New York City office
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
