Access Services Coordinator

Position: Access Services Coordinator (FT Temp)

Hours: 35 hours/week

Contract Length: April 28, 2026 through August 21, 2026

Role Overview: Reporting to Director, Accessibility, the Access Services Coordinators are responsible for supporting the implementation of Lincoln Center's accessibility and inclusion plan for the 2026 Summer for the City series. In addition to supporting access workers at performances and access services across venues and events, and processing individualized access requests from guests, this role will also serve a communications hub for general inquiries from guests about the vibrant summer program season.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Act as main point of contact on-site coordination of access services, including ASL-interpretation, captioning, audio description, and relaxed performances, at both indoor and outdoor venues
  • Advance access services with access workers and internal teams, including scheduling, communication, compiling prep materials from artists, coordinating arrival and escorting during events
  • Liaise with Summer for the City team to ensure access workers' needs are met, including scheduling arrivals, technical set up and sound check testing
  • Field and implement accommodation requests from audience members
  • Manage an active inbox and phone line to guest inquiries
  • Support and mentor students participating in guest-facing Summer Youth Employment Program positions
  • Plan, advance and staff disability-centered social events and workshops
  • Assist guests upon arrival, distributing accommodations and supporting seating
  • Liaise with the House Management team to support recurring access accommodations maintenance, including assistive listening devices, chill out space supplies and noise-reducing headphones
  • Collect guest feedback, including but not limited to focus groups,surveysand anecdotes
  • Represent Lincoln Center at community events and conducting outreach to expand audiences

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Passion for inclusive and accessible practice
  • Ability to support in person performances 3-5 days per week/weekend (both indoor and outdoor, daytime and evening), with flexibility to work remotely outside of performances
  • Curiosity to build experience in arts accessibility field
  • Familiarity with disability culture, access services and cultural arts
  • Strong customer service and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail, with ability to identify gaps in accessibility and make suggestions for future improvements
  • Ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders, including technical production and guest experience staff, access workers and audiences with disabilities
  • Interest in building knowledge of disabled artistry and artistic integration of accommodations
  • Professional and/or lived experience with disability strongly desired
  • Working knowledge of ADA compliance and WCAG standards a plus, but not required
