Vice President, Regional Manager AGL Casualty Claims

As a key member of the U.S. Casualty (USC) Claims Leadership Team, this role is accountable for delivering an exceptional claims experience while driving loss cost performance, expense discipline, and talent outcomes across a multi-state organization of 300+ Claims professionals. Leads teams of Claims Specialists serving customers across GRS Segments - Major Accounts and Helmsman Management Services - spanning Auto and General Liability lines across all levels of claim complexity.

This leader plays a central role in enabling Liberty Mutual's continued growth in Mobility Solutions segments, partnering closely with Underwriting to align claims capacity and operational readiness with the pace of business expansion. The role combines hands-on leadership of claims operations with strategic accountability for financial outcomes, emerging risk management, and organizational talent development - while positioning Liberty Mutual as a global employer of choice.

Responsibilities

• Leads, motivates and inspires delivery of business results/claims outcomes through others.
• Sets region priorities and provides direction to focus teams on areas of greatest opportunity.
• Creates a vision and talent strategy to develop staff and create talent pools to ensure availability of future talent. Engages, attracts and retains diverse exceptional claims talent and holds others accountable for attracting and developing talent.
• Manages resources to ensure best in class service and outcomes.
• Fosters a learning culture that facilitates continuous improvement in a data driven environment.
• Communicates within Claims and Stakeholders any trends or legal changes impacting outcomes or business results.
• Interfaces with key Customers, Agents and Brokers at point of sale, throughout the lifecycle and as a thought leader on technical matters, to provide an exceptional customer experience.
• Maintains strong working relationships within and outside GRS Claims to ensure delivery on claimscustomer value proposition.</li></ul><strong>This can be a remote position, but ideally we are looking to hire someone who is located within</strong><strong> 50 miles of one of the following GRS Claims hub offices: Boston, MA; Hoffman Estates, IL; Indianapolis, IN; Lake Oswego, OR; Las Vegas, NV; Plano, TX; Suwanee, GA; Chandler, AZ; or Weatogue, CT. </strong><strong>For those who reside within 50 miles of one of these hub locations, the in-office requirement is 2 days per week. Please note this policy is subject to change.</strong><br><br><b>Qualifications</b><ul><li>Advanced knowledge of insurance and claims handling</li><li> Strong analytical skills, experience with data driven decision making</li><li> Excellent leadership, decision-making, communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills</li><li> Demonstrated experience leading in a changing environment</li><li> Open to risk taking and challenging the status quo</li><li> Bachelors degree or equivalent training required, 10+ years of experience related to leading large and complex operations
• Advanced degree preferred

The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role.
