Software Engineer
Description
Duties:
Work in an agile environment to develop creative solutions for our claims product.
Accelerate speed to market by addressing current product needs and developing long-term strategic solutions using technologies such as React, TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, and other potential backend languages.
Utilize cloud services and tools, including AWS, Cloud Foundry, and CDNs like Akamai.
Demonstrate proficiency in multiple object-oriented and functional programming languages. Build and implement RESTful services. Employ an open-minded and collaborative approach to create innovative technical solutions. Analyze technical system problems to design and implement effective, flexible solutions. Handle end-to-end development, including coding, testing, and debugging in each development cycle.
Develop automated tests across multiple scopes, including unit, system, integration, and regression testing. Identify and recommend opportunities for continuous improvement.

Requirements:
Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Systems or related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or in a Software Engineer-related occupation.
Position requires demonstrable experience with the following:
1.Developing user interfaces using React.
2.Building server-side applications using Node.
3.Writing scalable and maintainable code using TypeScript.
4.Developing enterprise level applications object-oriented including Java.
5.Building microservices and backend systems using Spring Boot.
6.Knowledge of diverse and emerging technologies, architectural concepts, and principles while utilizing AWS services including Lambdas, EC2, and S3.
7.Experience in the insurance industry domain including property claim.
8.Understanding backlog tracking, burndown metrics, and incremental deliver utilizing the latest version of Scrum guide including Jira.
Experience may be gained during graduate program. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience. Multiple Positions Available.
