Principal Data Strategy Analyst

Description

As a Principal Data Strategist within the Office of Data and Data Science team supporting People, Purpose, and Brand, you will be a driving force behind transforming our organization and supporting business goals through cutting-edge data initiatives. As part of a team, you'll manage project workstreams and act as a liaison to embed data strategy into large, strategic priorities. You'll not only manage impactful data projects but also develop and mature strategy practices to steer an overall data strategy vision alongside our Enterprise Data Practice partners. Using creative storytelling and communication, you will mature and inspire a data-driven culture amongst stakeholders and data consumers. You'll research and understand industry trends, explain complex data concepts for diverse audiences, and lead cross-functional teams to tackle real business challenges with data. This role will sit within the Transformation, Intelligence, and Enablement team in People, Purpose, and Brand.

Qualifications

  • Strong written and oral communication skills required
  • Experience in data governance, data strategy, data management, project management, and/or related field strongly preferred.
  • BA/BS, or relevant work experience, in Business, Analytics, Computer Science, or Human Resources, or related field preferred
  • MBA or advanced degree in Business, Analytics, Computer Science, or Human Resources, or related field strongly preferred
  • 5-7+ years of experience working in data strategy, other strategic development, program management, data governance, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with talent data strategy
  • Experience with data warehouse technologies
  • Experience with Snowflake

The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
